Digital Health Week 2022 | 15th-17th February, 2022

In 2022 the University of Sydney and the University of Melbourne will once again showcase the innovative work happening in digital health at both universities and beyond, at Digital Health Week (15-17 February 2022). This week of activities provides valuable opportunities for anyone interested in digital health to participate in a program of virtual events and to share research and ideas. It’s designed to be both informative and provocative, and will bring together researchers, health services, industry, and the community to build person-centred eHealth collaborations.

“Reality check: how do we make technology work in real life?”

This year’s theme will have a focus on discussing how we can make technology truly work as a support tool for people in life and across health care systems. We want to explore the mismatch between real life and the potential of technology to support health and wellbeing. Our vision is to have diverse speakers who challenge us and spark discussions that might help us all to harness technology in different ways for more inclusive healthcare and support.

The program features three panel discussions that will each tackle the conference theme question of “Reality check: how do we make technology work in real life?” with different digital health stakeholders. The first panel has invited members of the community to share their unique experiences and valuable insights with us, the second panel will address the challenges of applying artificial intelligence into clinical practice, and the third panel will grapple with the systems and policies that make digital health come to life. Digital Health Week will also feature several abstract, networking, and ePoster sessions showcasing an exciting array of Digital Health projects.

Digital Health Week 2022
To ensure the ongoing sustainability of the Digital Health Week conference, a registration fee of A$20 has been introduced for the 2022 event. This fee will contribute to the core costs of running the event, while remaining affordable for most colleagues.

Pay-it-forward scheme
This year, along with our registration fee, we have continued our optional pay-it-forward scheme, which allows you to pay for the registration of another attendee. We would encourage those who are able to contribute to consider supporting a student, a healthcare consumer or advocate, or anyone experiencing financial hardship to attend the conference. You can nominate to pay the registration for another attendee on the registration form. Thank you for your support!

Request for a fee waiver
We hope to make this event as accessible as possible. If you would like to attend Digital Health Week 2021, and are a:
– consumer representative, or
– unable to pay the registration fee
please complete the request for a fee waiver form and your request will be considered. Fee waivers are made possible by the generosity of donors through our pay-it-forward scheme.

Note: Please do not register for the conference until you have been notified about your fee waiver application, as we will send you a personalised link and will be unable to refund any registration fees paid.

If you have any questions or need any further information about registration, please email events.rsvp@sydney.edu.au
