Digital Health Week 2024 | 13th-15th February, 2024
In 2024, we will again be bringing you a joint event between the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and this year the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) are joining us!
Digital Health Week is an opportunity for anyone interested in digital health to participate in a program of virtual events and share research and ideas. It is designed to be both informative, provocative, and a showcase of the innovative work being undertaken in digital health across our universities and beyond. Digital Health Week 2024 will bring together researchers, health services, industry, and the community to build person-centred eHealth collaborations.
“Inclusive by Design”
This year Digital Health Week aims to emphasise the importance of creating digital health solutions that are accessible, equitable and cater to the diverse, unique needs of all individuals. We encourage presenters to think about how their digital health research places end-users at the centre or considers marginalised and underserved populations and factors such as age, gender, ethnicity, disability, culture, socioeconomic status and geographic location.
The conference aims to bring together professionals from diverse backgrounds to discuss and collaborate on ways to create more inclusive and accessible digital health solutions.
Presentations may cover topics such as: how research aims to include end-users in all stages of development, evaluation and implementation; examples of co-design; how user experience (UX) has been considered; how digital health tools aim to be culturally safe and inclusive of people from different backgrounds and those with disabilities; improving healthy literacy; addressing health disparities through innovative technologies; and how end-users can benefit through the inclusion of multidisciplinary teams and industry.
By fostering discussions around “Inclusive by Design,” the conference seeks to drive positive change in the digital health landscape, ultimately leading to improved health outcomes for everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.
