– Pierre studied engineering in France, before a short academic career and a PhD on collaborative product development process and its methodological foundations. After a few months in the engineering services industry (energy and defense), he traveled to New Zealand where he joined a med-tech startup working on neonatal brain monitoring products. Pierre led the development of all the hardware platform innovations, and contributed significantly to quality systems and regulatory submissions, leading to the deployment of the products in Neonatal ICUs on several continents. In 2008 Pierre relocated to Australia to work on sleep monitoring technology. He lead the development of a Sleep Disorder Breathing diagnostic system, which won the Shell Australian Innovation Award in 2012, and thereafter took responsibility for the manufacturing, quality assurance and regulatory affairs functions of the device manufacturer and their range of neonatal and pediatrics CPAP masks – relocating in parallel to Colorado, USA.
