Bio | Dr Roy Tapera is a senior lecturer with more than 18 years of experience in Public Health issues working in the School of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Botswana. He teaches Epidemiology, Control of Communicable Diseases, Biostatistics, and Health informatics. He has co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in epidemiological studies, medical informatics, and health promotion. He possesses excellent skills in Data analysis using SPSS and STATA. He sits on the Anti-Tobacco Network (ATN) board, a Non Governmental organisation with a vision to have a tobacco-free Botswana. Dr Tapera is also an active member of The International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR). Dr Tapera has consulted for Statistics Botswana (BAIS IV) and studies sponsored by Bill and Melinda Gates. |
