Dr Shahadat Uddin is a Senior lecturer at the School of Project Management within the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Sydney. He has been conducting research in health informatics using Machine learning, AI-based graph approaches, Complex network and Advanced statistics. Using medical claim data, Dr Uddin has been analysing different patient-sharing collaboration networks that evolve among healthcare professionals. He also uses such data for the predictive modelling different chronic diseases as well as their latent comorbidities and multimorbidities. Dr Uddin has published in several international well-ranked journals, including Expert Systems with Applications, Knowledge-based Systems, Nature Scientific Reports, Statistics in Medicine, BMC Health Services Research Journal, European Journal of Public Health, European Journal of Health Economic and Journal for Healthcare Quality. He completed his PhD from the University of Sydney, Australia in 20121 For his outstanding achievement in research, Dr Uddin has been awarded several times, including Dean’s Research Award 2014 (University of Sydney), Certificate for Research Excellence 2010 (University of Sydney) and Campus Director Leadership Award 2006 (Central Queensland University). He has been well engaged in research with the health industry. In 2021, he was listed in the Stanford-Elsevier top 2% Scientists list of the World (in AI and Image processing category)
